What we improved was are track by adding to strip magnets

To make the levitating a little higher so beads don’t push it down .We also put more tape so the sides would not attract.

Are track had two strip magnets staked and the train was the same with

two strip on the side on the south pole. At  first our train was not successful so then that is when we improved it got up to 12 then we added again and 15  that was our score.

I learned that Maglev train is a lot of work and it is not a one man job

So I learned that I need to always be part of a group because there is never a I in a group. The EDP is a tiring process that is why I learned for this process you need to pay attention.

Maglev train post one

A maglev train is a train that hovers above the track using levitation. When the north pole of one magnet and a north pole of another magnet face each other, they repel which makes them levitate or float. They have to be south to south or north to north to levitate but if you put south to north, it will attract. My group’s idea was to put two strip magnets on the side of the track and five rings in the middle. For the train we put disc magnets all around the side of the train.

We failed making the train because we put north to south not north to north or south to south. It attracted. So next time, we will pay more attention to building and stay together. We won’t go ahead and do our own thing.

It was hard because nobody was listening to each other and we all had our own ideas. No one was listening to each other.  We were not listening to each other which made us start to mess up and then not know what we were doing. Next time we will work more as a group and keep trying if we mess up.

We got are train to levitate and move from one side to the other . the magnets we use

Were strip magnets to short ones on the side of the train and two long on the track.

We did that so it would line up an levitate and float across at least we thought it would work.

Testing it out and moving we had no idea what  happened when it fell. then we realized the edges Were different so we tried  to put more tape and that worked so it floated. What we learned is to experiment before doing anything and learning more about what I am doing

For the next session  are goal is to get beads or weights on the track and make sure it still floats above the track. We are confident it will work.
