Passion Project Blog Post #3

Hello! Today, I am going to talk about my progress and the quality of my work (so far)!

I am finding BrainPop a very good video resource! Although it doesn’t have many videos on my topic, it makes up for that by making the videos very detailed and easy to understand. Also, I find Ancient and Medieval History a good resource of articles, too! It has multiple very detailed articles with topics that relate almost exactly to my sub-questions. Also, I find that I am stretching my reading skills and learning a lot of new words. As far as note-taking goes, I think that I am doing very well! I have color-coded my notes so that they would say which sub-questions they answer. I am also thinking of adding another sub-question, “What is the difference between Roman and Greek Mythology?” But, I am not sure yet. Also, I think that I might be reading Heroes, Gods, and Monsters of Ancient Greek Mythology by Michael Ford, instead of Monsters of Greek Mythology Volumes by Bernard Evslin, because I feel that it would have the most information on the sub-questions that I haven’t gotten much information on yet. I might want to also group together some of my sub-questions if I feel that they mix with each other. I also might want to delete the sub-question “What types of people were most religious,” because I haven’t found anything that really answers that question.

I think that I try very hard on my research, and my notes have full sentences. I try to gain the most out of this research; by looking up words I don’t know, recognizing different types of nonfiction writing, etc. I hope that my final product will reflect on all my work!

  1. I have an idea for you (JUST AN IDEA), If you already have an idea for your final project then don’t read this, otherwise I have an idea (JUST AN IDEA) for your final project. It is that you can write your own book based on Greek Mythology like The “Trials of Apollo because” I know that you like to write books.

    1. Thanks for the idea, Cameron! I have decided something similar to that. I am going to write on a google slideshow, because it is easier to post pictures that way. Thanks again for the suggestion!
