Week of June 15th – Construction

To construct my switch I cut out pieces of cardboard using the scroll saw. After that I hot clued these prices together at about a 20 degree angle. Then I taped  two pieces of tin foil to the inside of the pieces of cardboard. Now when I press  the top piece of cardboard with tin foil on it down it touches the bottom piece of cardboard with tin foil on it and completes the circuit. Can’t wait to wire it!!

If there is a red card on the left I will press the red witch, on the right the right switch. If there is two red cards I will press the stop switch.

In my train table I have done so much. I have completely finished wiring my table. The switches were especially hard. Since I wanted to hook it up to a toggle switch I had to research how to do. Turns out I only had to connect the toggle switch to a port on the control boar which connected to the switch. So far I’m really excited to start decorating.

Technology Post #2

Recently I have been making a model train set. I have just finished laying all my track down. I was a little messy in some places so the glue got on the track. I was able to get it off and the trains have been running smoothly. I also finished wiring they track. I had to drill a whole through the table an put the wires through. Then I sobered it to the track and the main wire under the table. Overall I was super happy with my project and I cant wait to the next step which is decorating!

Technology Post #1 Lever

This week in technology class we learned about levers. On a lever there is the fulcrum, load and effort. On a lever the effort is the amount of force your using. The load is the thing your lifting. Lastly the fulcrum is the bending point of the lever. An example of a lever is a fishing rod. The load is the fish, the effort is how much force your using to reel it in and the fulcrum is where the fishing rod bends. Below is an example of a lever.

In social studies i created agame that shows you contries flag and you have to say what countries flag it is. Most of the blocks I already have used before so nothing wads really so new. Coding is being used in each coding area by helping you solve stuff and making math easier and in social studies making a quiz. Below is a screenshot of one of the activities.
