Feature Article Podcast

“These will be your partners, for the rest of our journalism unit.” Mrs. Robert said, Sophia was my partner. We had to chose a topic, so we broke it down from school rules, and decided on homework as our topic. We started off writing two introductions for our feature article, at first we were vary overwhelmed because we had to write two whole good introductions instead of one. After we wrote them Mrs. Robert touched some things up and then we had three different people to read our two introductions and ask them which one they liked better. The majority of people said that they liked the first introduction better than the second, so we used the first one. Once we had our introduction done now we had to work on our first paragraph. When we were writing is I thought it was pretty fun because we were writing the article on a very interesting topic. We decided to send out a survey to some of the children at our school, based on the results on the survey we used them to write our first paragraph. When we were done with our first paragraph we used the student handbook to work on our second paragraph. Next we had to work on our third paragraph, and we interviewed Mrs. Rago, and Mrs. Stile to write our third paragraph. After we finished we though we were done but we weren’t, we had to show it to Mrs. Robert. She said that the paragraphs were good but she thought that they could be better. So we worked worked and worked to make them better. Once we tried and made them better Mrs. Robert loved it! Now all we had to do was our podcasts.

Our whole class saw Mrs. Casal, and he taught us how to make our podcasts. He gave us a microphone, and a box to make sure there wasn’t and back round noise. He taught us how to record and then he sent us off. Once we finished recording he taught us how to put all our podcasts on one big slide. That was basically our whole unit. I thought it was very fun, challenging, and one of our best units.
