Edcamp Reflection

Hello and welcome to Andrew’s Articles! Today we are going to be talking about Edcamp, the first group of presentations.

Juile Deganaro- Prosecutor of defendants

I loved her presentation! It was very informational and enjoyable. She gave a lot of facts about being a prosecutor. She explained a few of her cases, and how they resolved them, either sentencing defendants to jail or prison or letting them go home.  She told us the difference between jail and prison.  She explained how a defense lawyer tries to defend his client and how the prosecutor tries to prove the person guilty and deserving a punishment.  Overall, I loved the presentation.  I learned a lot!

Lorie Weiser – Orthopedic Surgeon

Very informative!  This presentation taught us how orthopedic surgeons do their job, and how the surgeries repair the injuries.  She also explained all the different kinds of bones and joints, and how they work.  Also, she told us that babies start with 300 bones, and adults have 206 bones.  They fuse together over time.  She explained all the different kinds of fractures.  Sometimes, the doctor might have to put metal and artificial bones and joints into the patient who has the fracture. And at the end of the presentation she put a cast on her daughter, Scarlett to demonstrate how casts are put on after surgery if required.
