This narrative project was one of my favorite writing units that I ever had. I got to write about anything that happened to me, and I wrote about cycling up a mountain of death. I chose to write about this because the experience I had in Germany is one that I will never forget, because it was really dangerous, and it also shows that I like to travel, because I was in Germany.

I think that the most challenging part of writing the narrative was probably editing and revising, because I had to read through my whole story searching for errors. One helpful strategy I used when revising was checking with a partner because they always pointed out what I was going wrong.

One of my favorite parts of the unit was probably reading other kid’s stories. It was interesting to see what they went through, and I got more ideas of what I should do for mine.

Another challenge I went through was to design the book cover, the reason is because the black in the color printer isn’t working, so I had to draw my whole cover. But I think it was worth it because I really like my cover now.

My favorite memory in this unit is coming up with the idea, because it just popped into my head and I thought yup that’s the one.

Overall this unit was full of great jubilation and fun challenging things.

At the end of the unit we had a celebration of finishing our narratives. We set our narratives on our table and for approximately 30 minutes we went around reading others and giving them feedback. I really enjoyed reading my feedback.
