This week I was working on my prototype! I will include a picture of it below. My first attempt looks pretty good on camera but if you look close it has like dirt and is just dirty from close up. I am going to be bringing in my fake hand in and show the nails. As I continued working I noticed my nail art was getting a lot better!
Passion Project (Week #3) – Plan/Collaborate
This week is the 3rd week of doing my passion project and I have had a lot of fun so far. This week we are working on plan/collaborate. I will use YouTube to find tips and tricks on how to do nails. I have found many great channels with really helpful tips and tricks. I will reach out to one of the YouTubers that I have found and ask them what I can do to improve my nail art. To get this done I will go to where I have set up my nail stuff and practice with the tips and tricks I have found and take the tips from the YouTuber that I will reach out too.
Passion Project (Week #2) – Pitch/Cast
I am going to learn how to do nail art. I wanted to do nail art because I always get my nails done and watch tons of videos about nail art and always wanted to try to do it like the videos. I will learn this by practicing a ton watching tutorials and keep trying even if I mess up. Success for me looks like detailed blog posts and effort put into them, the transformation of my nail art and showing my nail designs to everyone!
Tech Post #8 – Final Post
This is my last blog post for tech. I really loved tech, Mr.Calvert was a great teacher and I had a lot of fun! I got to make jewelry, made light switches with aluminum foil and cardboard, flashlights, and used a laser cutter! All of these were super fun and I am so happy that I had this class. I made lots of friends and had lots of fun. I would always look forward to tech everyday and watch the clock every second. Overall I had a lot of fun and I am going to miss this class.
Tech Post #7 – Final FlashLight
Here is a video of explaining my flashlight!
Tech Post #6- Light Switch
This week I had done a lot! I cut my pipes and completed the light switch but I am still painting my flashlight, which is my last step!
Here is my light switch stuff so far!
Tech Post #5 – Drawing Flashlights
This week we are starting to make our waterproof flashlight! We used pipes and we have started sketching our design. Mr. Calvert gave us a sheet and each little box was 0.25 inches and we had to draw it to scale. Right now we are working drawing the details of the sketch. Adding the switch wires light etc. to my sketch!
Here is my sketch!
Tech Post #4 – Switches and Game
This week I finally Finished all my switches, I posted them in the last blog post but this week we played the game! I was the driver first. I only got 3 wrong, and I won! I also have been coming during lunch and I am making a tiny lighting bolt necklace! I just have to add the change!
Here is the video of the game!
Tech Post #3 – Jewelry and Light Switch
This week I finished my jewelry piece and had to soldered my piece and had to put flux before that. Today I will put my chain on and finish my piece! While I was waiting to put my chain on I was making light switches with aluminum foil and cardboard. I had to use the scroll saw to cut my cardboard and hot glue it. I will have to make 3 light switches to play a game! As of right now (before tech) I have 2 light switches and I will start my 3rd one today!
Here is My final Jewelry piece and my all my light switches:
Tech Post #2 – Jewelry
This Week we worked on our jewelry! Monday and Tuesday we worked on the base. It was pretty challenging especially the look part and wrapping it! But on Wednesday we worked on doing our design! This part was a little easier for me because I got to do my own thing and could use the picture for reference with helped! We had to bend and curl and tighten a lot of wires during these 2 days but I did end up with a pretty good wave! We are going to use a Slaughtering iron to blend the pieces together!
