I think that the electoral college process is unfair and needs to be abolished because it often results in situations that do not accurately portray who a majority of Americans really want as president.

I know this because depending on the population of each state they get more electoral college votes so technically if the bigger states vote for one president it is a higher chance of that president winning.

In the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than one million votes, but yet still lost the election on electoral votes.

I think that the electoral college process is unfair because it is a “winner takes all” type of thing. This means that if one candidate has 51,489 votes and the other one 51,488 votes, the first candidate would take all the votes just because they lost by one vote. If there wasn’t this process it wouldn’t really affect the score but with it it affects it so much.
