Last week in technology, we learned about trusses. They help stabilize structures. The thing that was very cool t me is the reason that all trusses are triangles. It is because a triangle is the strongest shape. I knew the triangle was the strongest shape, but I didn’t know why. Mr. Calvert put it like this. if he puts a weight a square, a parallelogram, and a triangle, all the object would distort, except the triangle(assuming that none of them can break and that the weight is balanced on the triangle). This is because the angles of the triangle are held in place by the opposite line segment. if this line segment does not break, the triangle will not distort.
