I wrote this poem because it was a rainy day out and everyone was sad except I like the rain. In my poem I have two stanzas because one I look at it from a pessimists point of view and in the other I talk about an optimists point of view. This is a link to my screencast of Rainy Days
I wrote this poem because Mrs.Edwards told us to paint a picture and I really like Beach Point because of the happy mood there. I included the part about the parents saying “No” because thats usually what happens.
I wrote this Poem because I wanted to write a poem on the topic of death. Also, being lost is a common thing so in this poem I showed different ways you can be lost. I didn’t make this poem a rhyming poem because I was more focused on painting a picture.
My poem is about camp. I chose the hand because it looked like a kids hand and I decided to make the writing red because my camp color is red. I thought the font looked like a kid who’s writing a letter. This is why I chose the colors and shapes.
Here is the same poem in the hand
Greylock
The sun in my face
The wind in my hair
The splash of the river
When kids jump in
Playing sports all day
When Evening activities come
We play capture the flag
Until the sun vanishes over the horizon
When Ian and I got to Jonny’s house Jonny told us about his Idea. We were going to hit a water bottle into a cooler. Ian and I agreed. We started building, but we had one problem. How are we going to get an object to the top of the cooler. That’s where I came in. I said we should put dominoes on a box onto a higher box etc. Then when we reached the top the domino would hit the water bottle into the cooler.
I think that Jonny, Ian, and I should try to shorten our Rube Goldberg because we aren’t meeting every day and our Rube Goldberg is pretty long. I think we should also shorten it because since we don’t meet that much we won’t have that much time to do our final take.
The last time our Rube Goldberg group met we wanted to make sure our course worked. We did it over and over until we were satisfied. We made adjustments to the car and the dominoes after the marble track. Now we know that our Rube Goldberg works. We also added a few ideas. For example, we put a domino on it’s side so the marble will bounce off it and hit dominoes. Also, we changed the car so that it will hit the marble every time. This idea took a lot of tape, but it worked.
