How would we be able to see an atom? If we filled a grapefruit with a bunch of atoms we would have to make it the size of the earth in order to see it. Then the atoms would be the size of a blueberry. Then if we wanted to see the neutrons and protons we would have to make the blueberry the size of a football field. Then the neutrons and protons would be the size of marbles.
