Com’on daddy, “We’re going to be late to my soccer game”, I said. We were playing against New York City.
At the start of the second half we were down one to zero. I thought we were going to lose.I felt gloomy.
My coach told me I had to play goalie. I was very stressed because I don’t like playing goalie.
At least we got to start with the ball in the in the second half “YAY”, I said. That made me feel a little better.
Two minutes into the second half C got fouled. The free kick was hard to make. Well I thought so.
He shot it so hard and high the goalkeeper had no chance of saving it…I screamed to C,
“Nice shot, I don’t think I can do that.”
It was suddenly one to one. There was one guy on the other team close to the goal. I said in my head I can block this I can block this. When the guy shot it I used all my might to jump up and block it… and somehow I did. I could not believe it. I had such a good feeling that I could block anything!Later N was driving down the left side trying to juke everybody out. Do you think he scored…? YES! He made it because he kicked the ball very hard.
Before time ran out I thought we would win. And guess what… we did. It was our best game.I just knew it. Next we shook hands. I couldn’t believe we beat that team!
I liked how you took out parts that were not important. You also made me feel eager to here more and I liked your descriptive words.
Thanks,
I loved your story because the way you told the story bit by bit and that you made the story interesting by writing all your thoughts down.
I felt like I was with you watching you save the shot.
