In the book refugee there are three parts for Joseph’s storie Hitler started with the power when the Nazi took over.  Then When Joseph got on the ship the jews had the power on the saint louis because they were leaving germany. Then Joseph had it during the bar mitzvah. And when they arrived to cuba the Cubans rejected them. After that the US had the power but rejected them. When four countries that split them up the country’s had the power. Finally the Nazi had it again after invading France.

 

For Isabelle Castro started with the power then the lost some during the attack. After that Isabelle got it when they escaped. The the storm got it and a little bit after that the tanker got it and almost killed them. When they got to the bahamas they had the power. The the sharks had the power. Finally the lifeguard got it.

 

For Mahmoud the war had the power. Then the smuggler after that the sea. Then finally Turkey. Overall there have been lots of power changes in this book.

Refugee

In Refugee, the characters all leave there countries for different reasons. Josef left because he was a jew during the start of world war 2. Isabel left because she had a bad leader and her dad would go to jail if she didn’t leave. For Mahmoud he left because he was living in Syria when they were in a civil war. They are all similar because they were dangerous times.

The book Crash by Jerry Spinelli is about a football player in middle school. He is a bully to a kid named Webb, because Webb is different, and he doesn’t realize who is doing it. He also likes a girl who hangs out with Webb and not Crash, because she knows that he is not nice.

Breakout post 2

In the book Breakout, by Kate Messner, two prison inmates escape and the town is on lockdown. Lizzie’s brother is really scared about the two prison escapees and that makes it hard for her. Another challenge Lizzie faces is that her grandma is in prison for unknowingly helping the inmates escape and survive on the outside.

In the book Breakout, by Kate Messner, there are two prison inmates that escape and nobody knows where they are. There are more than 300 police looking for them and the town is on lockdown because both inmates were in jaihl for murder. The characters, Lizzie and Nora, are upset about the lockdown because they will not be able to participate in some events.

Winn-Dixie book and movie

Winn-Dixie Movie and Book 

The movie and the book are similar and different in many ways. One reason they are different is there was no red leash in the book, but there was in the movie. My second reason they are different is Otis does not want to go to the party in the book, but in the movie he wants to. My third reason is Mr.Alfred did not have a big part in the book, but he had a big part in the movie.

One reason they are the same is the thunderstorm makes the people at the party go inside. My second reason is that Opal and the Preacher go outside looking for Winn-Dixie, but they do not find him. My third reason is Winn-Dixie comes back but Opal’s mom does not. My fourth reason is they just left Watson and went to Naomi. My last reason is Opal is making friends with people who are lonely just like her.
