on I have been spending a lot of time on learn to code one, on playgrounds. It is teaching me a lot about writing code. I haven’t got stuck too much on levels. I did get stuck on one though. It was a very long level that I made a lot of mistakes on, but I eventually got it right. I am learning a lot!

on I have finished my about me project for computer tech. I had to code something about me on Scratch. I have used scratch before so it was not too hard. One of the most important blocks to use is the broadcast blocks. They can send out a message that makes it so other sprites can do things or even for the same sprite!

on I finished my flashlight. I did everything on my own, including soldering the circuit, sawing the pipes, and drilling the holes for the switch and light. I thought the sawing was the hardest part because the saw kept slipping. This was our final technology assignment, and I am proud of how my flashlight came out. I also like that the LED light is really powerful, and the flashlight is waterproof. I am really sad that technology is ending because I really enjoyed the class.

on Now that my flashlight design is done, I am starting to make it. I think the hardest part of this project will be the sawing. The materials we are using are PVC pipes, wires, an LED light, a switch, and a battery. The tools we are using are a saw, a drill, and soldering iron. This will be my first time using a saw and a drill. I am really looking forward to the project.
on I finally finished all of my switches! Now I am ready to start the card game. This game will use my three switches and a deck of cards. This project has been fun and I have learned a lot about circuits. The hardest part of making the switches was using the hot glue gun on the tin foil. I needed to be careful that the glue did not spread out and burn me. I am excited to play the game!

on Now we are on our next project in technology. We have just started making switches. We are making switches that turn lights on and off. I have already made one and I’m on my second. In this project we are learning about circuits. We used wires, an LED light, a breadboard, and a battery to make our circuit. It was complicated, but it was a lot of fun.
on I finished the design for my soldering project, and now I am ready to start soldering. I can’t wait to get started. My design is a Red Sox symbol. I think the hardest part will be bending the wire to make the socks. I have been working on design for a long time on Vectornator, and I think it looks really cool. This has such a fun project and I can’t wait to see how my project comes out.
on In technology we are getting ready to start soldering. When you solder you apply heat to melt metal. We are going to solder a circle with a design in it. I think I might make a Red Sox symbol. We are sketching designs on Vectornator. I am really excited to start soldering, but I am a little nervous because the soldering iron reaches 800 degrees.

on In technology we did something called breakout. We were in teams, and we tried to find out how to unlock a box with three locks. There were clues all around the room, and we had to finish unlocking the box in 30 minutes. We were so close to finishing all three locks when the timer went off. I think we could have finished it if we had five more minutes. I learned that team work and good communication is important. Overall breakout was really fun and challenging.
