Moon Phase – March 24

Today is our twenty-fifth day of moon gazing. You will be expected to:

  • go outside to view the moon
  • record your observations on my blog
  • include date, time and conditions of the sky when you observed
  • and check out some of the links I shared on my “Moon Study” page. There are some interesting videos and sites about the moon and the constellations. Take a peek at one and share out some of the information you learned!

Make sure to proofread over what you have written to make sure that you included capital letters, proper punctuation, correct spelling and that your post makes sense. Have fun!

Moon rise time: 4:52 a.m.

Moon set time: 3:34 p.m.

  1. Today is March 24th. I went out to see the moon at 8:07 a.m. The sky was cloudy some I didn’t get to see the moon in its waning crescent phase. Did you know that some astronauts found more than 500 solar systems in the milky way? That is pretty cool!

  2. Today is March 24th. It is 7:30 a.m. The conditions of the sky are overcast. The moon is in its waning crescent phase. Today I couldn’t see the moon because it was too cloudy to see it, but it was probably the same of what it probably was on March 21st.

  3. Today is March 24. I tried to see the moon but unfortunately it was overcast so the moon was covered by clouds. But the moon phase was waning crescent. So far I didn’t see the moon in the waning crescent stage. Did you know that when the moon is getting bigger it is called waxing?

  4. On Friday, March 24th, the moon is in the Waning Crescent phase. The sky was clear and I saw a glImpse of the moon.
