Now that all my pieces are ready I put my final project together. First I ask Mr. Calvert to put my circuit inside my T shaped piece he also uses one plug to put the LED light into the whole I drilled there. Then I put my remaining pvc pipes in the T shaped piece and plugs to close the openings of the T shape. The final flashlight looks like this…
I also just finished drilling my holes and my marker design on the flashlight. I drilled my holes using the drill press, you can search for a picture of that on the internet. The drill press made a hole like this…
My design is pretty simple, for the sides of the flashlight are drips. Since the markers are paint markers when you push down the tip goes in and it fills with paint and I used that to creat drips on my flashlight. ItIt looks like this…

Is my design good?
I Just finished my circuit! I have three wires, the ones in my last post. Red means positive black means negative. First I soldered my first red wire to the positive side of the battery holder. Than I soldered my black wire to the negative side of the battery holder. Than I soldered my second red wire to the switch and my other first red wire the same after. Then I soldered my second red wire to the LED light. After that I started my black wire to the LED light, than my circuit was complete!

The thing next to the plug on the right side with the vertical lines from your view and the oval looking shape at the top of is my LED light, that is the thing that lights up. The circle at the bottom of the screen is the battery, it powers the light. The rectangle at the top of the picture with the oval on top of it is my switch it will turn on my battery by letting the electrons flow. The next step is soldering my wires and putting a hole where the LED will be so the flashlight will shine out.

I only have a couple more things to do until i finish my drawing. As you can see there is a plug coming out of the right side, I need to add two more plugs the other two openings. I also have add my circuit which causes the flashlight to shine.
The drawing has to be precise because it is drawn to scale. The bottom left corner shows the scale – 1 box equals 1/4inches. The lines have to be straight so I use a ruler to draw them.
After some soldering i came out with the final project! I tell Mr. Calvert. And he points out a corner I did not solder! So i solder one more time and i come out with this…

Now in technology we are making jewelry. We just started making the plans. There is circles and we have 5 wires to use. We have 15 circles on a piece of paper and we have to make 15 designs. We are learning about atoms and electrons it is really interesting. I think it is interesting because we get to learn how important electrons are. For example if we have an orange the orange would need to be the size of the earth to see the atoms. Also the positive collect at the top of the cloud and the negative electrons collect at the bottom no one knows why this happens.
I just got into my first few technology classes at the Scarsdale middle school, yes I am In the Scarsdale middle school now in 6th grade. The first day we discussed the expectations and projects and we are going to make and the tools we are going to use. The second day we went over safety precautions, it was kind of scary because Mr. Calvert explained accidents that have happened in the past where someone got hurt. I will try to be careful while using the machines. The third day we did a challenge to find clues to unlock a bin with goggles inside with a team to improve teamwork it was very fun. The lock got jammed so we couldn’t unlock it but we still found code to unlock the lock. And the forth day we got introduced to the blogs we will have to make over the course of the quarter. I am excited to continue technology and share the projects that I make on my blog.
