EH | Final Project

For the final project we had to choose from these tynker projects: Comic, Quiz, and Slideshow. I chose the quiz.

The kid is asking how many people (students) can you fit on a school bus,

Make your geuss! (sʇuǝpnʇs) ǝןdoǝd 27 :ɐ

EH | About Me Project

This was very fun to do, although it took me 15 minutes to draw the character. (Its very glitchy)

I made it so that my rabbit Oreo follows me forever.

Also I put waits in the music so that the music plays perfectly. (Which is forever)

Tynker Music Project

I picked Jack’s Project because his music was different from the other ones, they didn’t really have too much animation though, the music theme was kind of pirate like compared to the other ones which were all a normal guitar. That is what i enjoyed about Jack’s Music Project.

Computer Science is Changing Everything

The video is an interesting introduction of coding.

19th was about agriculture and industrial revolution electricity.

20th physics was about engineering

21st is about digital internet computer

Everything has been upside down by software.

In agriculture, CS and technology has made thing easier and production higher, and made things possible and food cheaper.

In fashion and design, CS brings new jobs combining programming with other activities. Today, Half of the products are software products. You need to learn programming.

In medical area, software are now very useful. As an example, to find a new virus. The computer can compare the sequences of a virus.

Computer science can save energy. Some software can limit carbon emissions.

In meteorology, it is now impossible to do the calculations without a computer, to forecast a weather.

In public safety, the technology helps to find missing children.

In art, the medium of computer can be creative.

In entertainment, films are created with computers too.

Some people consider nowadays that programming is as important as knowing how to read.

Computer science has changed the world.

Capstone Blog Post #3 | Elisha

For Capstone I chose to make a Spark Video as my final product. At the beginning, I really didn’t know what kind of project I was going to make. My choices were TED Talk or Spark Video and then I decided to choose Spark Video because I wanted to make my project clean and simple.

I probably enjoyed the most making the script because I had millions of ideas flowing through my head and when I typed down all my ideas I felt like I was The Flash.

I did not really encounter any problems making it, except when I was making it I thought my script kind of sounded like a TED Talk but then I changed up a bit and made my video.

I’ve actually been sharing my school projects, such as “Where I’m From” and my “Immigrant Interview,” with friends and family and they really have enjoyed watching them.  I’m also going to share my Capstone project right after this blog post. I really learned a lot about Terraforming Mars because of Capstone.

This is my Final project: Capstone Spark Video

Capstone Blog Post #2 | Elisha

My interviewee is John Coburn.

He works for Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation and he is the Vice-President and Lead Architect.

John Coburn is the dad of my brother’s friend, I interviewed John because he is an architect and he’s been interested in space his whole life.

I used zoom to record mine. At 5:30 PM I interviewed him but, at the end of the interview, the screen recording did not work. So then I had to do the interview all over again. It was very frustrating that I failed a bit on the first try. The first try was kind of like a rehearsal or warm-up.

So we tried contacting AI Space Factory but they didn’t answer and then my brother told us how his friend’s dad is interested in architecture on Mars so then we started the interview.

My questions are:

  1. Why did you want to become an architect?
  2. How did you become interested in architecture on Mars?
  3. What are the (Main) requirements for making a house on Mars?
  4. In your opinion what skills are useful or needed to be building architecture on Mars which are different from the skills needed to build on Earth ?
  5. What are some good materials to build a home on mars and how is it going to protect from radiation, weather, and make it airtight?
  6. David Malott from AI space factory was working on general architecture before getting specialized on Mars. How can your Job help build a house on Mars?
  7. To what extent will we need to use a different technology on Mars than on earth?
  8. Will the architecture be built on planet mars or here and transported here? Will we need AI?
  9. In your opinion what is the most useful AI or robot to build a house on mars?

I don’t know what was the most interesting because all of the interview was interested.

Sometimes I said “um”, and also I had to do the interview twice.
