Rulers! #4

Today in class we talked about rulers. We talked about how in America we use standard measurement, but everywhere else people use metric measurement. He gave us a worksheet and we had to figure out the measurement of each point on the paper. There were two types of rulers. One ruler’s scale was 8ths and the another’s scale was in 16ths. These are the steps of making a measurement:

  1. Determine what scale your using.
  2. Align the left end of the ruler with one edge of the part you are measuring.
  3. count the number of whole inches if there are any.
  4.  Count the remaining number if division and add them to the whole number.
  5. Reduce the fraction to simplest form if you can.                                                                                                                                                                                         I really liked this lesson and enjoyed the work sheeto
