Last class we got to make our own circuits! What you need to make a circuit is a lightbulb, a battery, a couple wires, and a switch . We were trying to make the light glow. The electricity would go from the battery, through the wires, and into the filament in the lightbulb. The filament doesn’t like electricity going through it, and all the atoms start vibrating and because of that it heats up, and then it lights up. Another cool thing is that when the switch was up, even if the circuit was connected, it wouldn’t glow, but when the switch was down it would glow. I found this lesson really interesting, but for some reason it was really hard for me to wrap the wires around the the screws on the switch.
