Summary: In the passage Colonial America  the main Idea is what happened in colonial America I know this because every time something changes in the passage it puts you in the position of this. for example when times are changing for the Africans the passage puts you in the African Americans shoes and says “If you were one of the native people at this time you would see your land changing”. Another piece of evidence is the number of slaves increased yearly. this gives me the information that the author is trying to give  you example of colonial times. I know this because throughout this whole passage I can give many examples of  what the author is trying to teach us about if we lived in colonial times.
