Reflecting on 4th Grade

I had a good year in 4th grade because there was a lot of things that I enjoyed doing.

In math, my favorite thing was doing decimals because I found them easy. I also liked doing them because they are just like fractions but they are even easier.

In writing, my favorite thing was doing our personal narratives because I got to tell what happened to me and nobody was there to experience it the way I did so I got to write it just the way it happened.

In reading, my favorite thing was independent reading for homework or at school because I got a bunch of good books to read this year that were awesome. At home for homework I have to read 40 minutes a night and I enjoy it when I have a good book and don’t when I don’t have a good book.

In social studies, my favorite thing was Colonial Day because everybody was dressed up in funny costumes and we got to do fun activities the whole day and do no class work.

In science, my favorite thing was our land and water unit because we got to do fun experiments with soil and we got to plant grass and do more experiments on the grass.

In music, my favorite thing was writing and singing our operas. I liked doing that the best because I liked experimenting with the iPads on Garageband and then eventually signing with the music I made.

In chorus, my favorite thing was memorizing the songs because I didn’t have to hassle with all of the music and it made me feel like I worked hard and it payed off.

In P.E., my favorite thing was doing the gymnastics unit because I had fun climbing the rope and doing all the rolls and playing with the Devil’s Sticks.

In art, my favorite thing was making plastic wire Calders. I found that my favorite thing because I liked bending the wire and making it in all different shapes. Then after I made all the wire sculptures I usually played around with the wire and made a big wire with a lot of other ones twisted together.

In spanish, my favorite thing was doing all the projects on the Chromebooks because I liked learning how to use Screencastify and how to use voice recognition.

In orchestra, my favorite thing was learning how to play viola because I learned how to play another instrument besides ukulele and I also would of never learned how to play songs on viola if I never got to play it.

I achieved all my 4th Grade by doing all of the things that I should of done like, listening better to the teacher and working harder in certain subjects.

Right now my goals for 5th Grade are having fun, do my best work and learn how to fully type faster than I can now.
