Grouping the Characters in Pax

We are reading the book Pax by Sara Pennypacker. So far, Peter had to let Pax go into the wild because he had to move in with his grandpa. Peter got so upset that he ran away to find Pax. On the way to find Pax, Peter tripped in the middle of the night and broke his ankle in the middle of the night. He broke his ankle on a unusual woman’s property named Vola. Vola very different from most people, she lives in the middle of the forest in a log cabin all by herself. She almost acts like a phoenix. Phoenixes go into the middle of the forest and make a nest and die into ashes and then a new bird rises out of those ashes. Vola also lives in the middle of the forest all by herself. If I had to group the characters, I would group the characters Peter, Peter’s dad, grandpa, Vola and the store owner as the “human group”. I would group Bristle, Runt and Pax as the “fox group”. I think Pax will soon to be ignoring and Runt and waiting on the side of road where Peter released Pax into the wild. I wonder if Peter is scouted out by the cops when he finds Pax.

  1. I agree because the humans buy everyday supplies as in food water and they go to work to get money to get those things but for foxes they hunt for animals and go to streams and rivers to get water. I love your blog I like how you were very descriptive.
