Philadelphia Trip

Everyone was at school by 5:30 in the morning. It was exciting that you were knowing that you were going to Philly but you had to get up at about 5:00 am. We all got on the buses while we were watching movies and playing on your phone but everyone was watching out for their battery to drain.

At about 8:40 we were on the Ben Franklin Bridge going into Philly. Then we pulled into the Constitution Center. We took all of our lunches and put them into big bags. We walked over to the front of the center and met our tour guide for the morning.

We walked over to see the Liberty Bell. We had to go through security and then was the bell was there! We all took pictures and then headed out.

We then went on to see Independence Hall. It was very pretty with all of the painting and all of the old design. There was even a really elegant molding in the ceiling which would probably cost about $40,00o today.

We walked by Benjamin Franklin’s grave and threw a penny on to his grave because of his saying, “A penny saved is a penny earned.”

We then went to a show where we learned about some of the history of what was going on back around 1776. Not much happened there.

We were then doing things in the center that they had set up for the public.

After that we all went into a room which was all of the presidents in statue form. I got to have fake conversations with them and shake their “hand”.

Right after that room we went downstairs into this exhibit which was called “Headed to the White House”. That was activites that were related to being president.

We all hopped onto the bus and went home and all had a long night of sleep.

  1. I like how you gave a lot of details on what you did, and then the next thing that you did, and so on but I think you should explain about if you liked the trip or not. Good job though!
