The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe #2

In the book, “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis, there are four siblings living with a professor. One of the four siblings isn’t like the other four. His name is Edmund. I think Edmund gets his power in a negative way.

One reason why I think Edmund gets his power in a bad way is because Edmund got power by lying to the other siblings about Narnia being fake. In my opinion, I think this is a bad way to get power because usually you would want power for a good reason. Also, lying leads to bigger consequences.

Another reason why I think Edmund gets his power in a negative way is because at one point in the book, his siblings realize Edmund was missing while they were at the beaver’s house. Edmund made everyone worry about him and stop what they were doing. I think this is a really negative and disrespectful way to get power.

Overall, Edmund doesn’t quite realize all this. Additionally, Edmund’s personality isn’t that nice in general.

The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe

In the book, “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis, four siblings are playing hide and seek and this sibling, Lucy hid in a wardrobe. This wardrobe ended up to be magic. Lucy traveled through the wardrobe and ended up in this place called Narnia. In Narnia there is this character named the White Witch. I think the White Witch has the power.

I think the Witch has the power because she can basically control Narnia. She has the power to control if it’s winter or not. Everyone is kind of scared of her.

In addition, another reason why I think the White Witch has the power is because she threatened to do bad things to a faun if he found the daughter of Eve and didn’t kidnap her. Basically the white witch wants the faun to kidnap the daughter of Eve (the girl).

The only thing that can stop the White Witch from controlling Narnia is if four people fill four stones. As a matter of fact, the fuan found the daughter of Eve, but didn’t kidnap her.

Social Issues

I think social issues are very important in life. The social issues that matter most to me are bullying, disabilities and losing your parent (s). Bullying matters a lot to me because many kids get their feelings hurt, and can be depressed. That’s not fair! Kids should be happy. Bullying also matters because people are purposely targeting other people, it’s not like they don’t realize it. As well as bullying, losing your parent (s) and having a disability can make you very upset as well. For instance, losing your parent (s) can just be very sad. Though, having a disability is not your fault, and if you have a disability you might be upset because you can’t do some of the things others can do. I think that we should stop bullying because disabilities or losing a parent you can’t really prevent. All of this social issues are a problem today. I know this because I’ve seen bullying happen, losing your parent (s) is something you can’t prevent, and it still goes around, lastly, disabilities people are just born with. Overall, I think that we should definitely try to prevent bullying better.

Blowing Up Jot

In the book, “Eight Keys,” I understand why the book is a mystery, because before you unlock a key it feels so mysterious (what the author made me feel) and that you are so tempted to look and see what is behind each door. I feel really bad for Elise because her parents (both of them) had passed away. I also feel bad for her because she feels bad for herself for things that are not really her fault, and she has a lot going on and is not yet capable of doing them. I’m so excited to find out what is in the next room! I’m happy for Elise because she found something to remember her mother and go back to. I predict that the next room is going to have things about her dad. The first thing I noticed before I started reading the chapter was that the page that said, “Part 2” only had seven keys on it, which reveals before reading the chapter that Elise unlocked or is going to unlock the first key. I think what Aunt Bessie did with the key was a very generous thing that Elise can treasure. I wonder if they are going to put all the keys on that necklace or make a different one for each key?

The War With Grandpa – Writing Long And Strong

At first, at the beginning of the book I thought the war was never going to end. Also at the beginning of the book Grandpa was a little rude and mean after all the things he has done, slap Peter, didn’t feel bad for taking Peter’s room, pranked Peter and made him late for school, didn’t care he took Peter’s room, taught him a lesson etc. I think he was a little mean and strict at the beginning of the story because he didn’t want to go to war with Peter and probably thought it was silly. The war continued over the middle of the book. At the end of the book, they ended the war. Grandpa was so nice and generous he even offered to let Peter have his room back and move to the basement. This surprises me and shoes that Grandpa’s feelings cam change quickly through out the story. I’m happy Peter and  his grandpa got along, ended the war, and a happy ending happened.

Book Clubs : The War With Grandpa – Jot 1

In the book, “The War With Grandpa,” at first Peter is really thrilled and excited for his grandpa to come live with him because grandma died and he is lonely and upset in Florida (where he lives) I wonder where Peter and his family live? Probably not too near Florida because in the text it said, grandpa has to got on a plane to get to Peter’s house. After Jenny, (Peter’s younger sister) told Peter that he will have to sleep in the guest room, and grandpa will live in Peter’s room, Peter got really upset. This shows that Peter’s feelings can change quick over one really little thing. Peter is not really a good sport/flexible, and not understanding. Or it’s that Peter’s room is very special to him and his parents don’t really care. Well, now I think Peter’s parents do understand, but they can’t put grandpa in the guest room because grandpa’s leg is injured, and it’s going to be hard for grandpa to walk to the third floor, the guest room. Peter even cried because he didn’t want to sleep in the guest room. I feel a little bad for Peter because why does he have to move?

Writing Long and Strong on Jots – Character

I’m reading the book, Justin Case Rules, Tools, and Maybe a Bully. One of my long  jots that I grew is, It’s weird Elizabeth goes to school in a ninja costume most days. I was surprised her mom would let her wear a ninja costume to school, because it is not Halloween. I wonder why Elizabeth would  want to wear a ninja costume to school most days? That is my jot that I wrote long and strong about. Later in the book I answered my question, Elizabeth wears a ninja costume to school most days  because Elizabeth wants to be a ninja when she grows up. You should really read the book, Justin Case Rules, Tools, and Maybe a Bully. It’s a great book for a book club, and to discuss.
