In technology this week we learned about cams and watched a movie about them also. We are making them out of paper, in the future I think we will make stuff out of wood and use different tools.

This week in tech we started and finished cranks that will work as light switches. We got to color build glue and drill them in the process. I thunk mine will look very cool when its done because of the colors I chose and I hope it will work.

This week in technology we watched a little bit of Hugo and learned about minerals and space. The movie Hugo was kind of interesting but I thought it was a bit slow. We did a couple Nearpods about minerals and gold and how rare it was. We also learned a space and how our solar system works.

This week we finished submitting he videos of our cranks and brought them home. It was cool because they worked really well. We also got to use new tools like mallets and drill presses also sanders.

This week in technology we started to watch a movie about machines and gears. I also finished my cam, it kind of works now I just have to submit a video of it. We also started learning about gears and how a Roman ship reck was found and there was gears in it.

This week in technology we started to fold and finish cutting the paper shapes we aloos started to make are pistons. We also filled out a survey talking about what light switch we have for a later assighnment that we will make a light switch out of wood.

This week we started learning about simple machines and learned how to use a slice cutter. It’s cool learning how to use a slice. Cutter since i never used one before. We also learned about things like wheels and how helpful they are. We also cut out practice sheets of paper with slice cutters and sizers.
