I though it was cool how I was right about the fire works but then I felt bad for Benyomin because he had got the chalk mark on his arm but then the doctors let him pass. Then the got to go in to the next room and there was a long table covered in food.
I think its really sad that they sent some people back. i think they should give people a few days to get better because they could just be sea sick. benyoman is really lucky. i am so happy that they can all stay in America.
I hope that they will all find Pa. I also was thinking form the last chapters that there would be a war because of the time. The only war was 20 days away in turkey. It was the Turkish war of independence. I also wonder if Benyimon and Fivel are gonna eat all of the food. I am also sad that some people had to be sent back just because they didn’t know if they were sick because they couldn’t check.
I was so scared that one of them wasn’t going to pass the medical examine. Then when Benyomin got sent to the wall I was so scared. I wonder what the doctors saw in his eyes? I was really relived when the guy said that the bombs were just for a holiday – The 4th Of July. Now knowing that it is the 4th Of July I have a better sense of what period of time the book is in. I wonder how much food there really is.
I’m glad that they did nit get sent back. Also I think Benyomin got pulled back because he had bad eyesight. I think they might have trouble finding Pa when the get out of that place.
When the man told them that it was fourth of July I was so relieved because I thought one of them might’ve died in the “war” that we thought was going to happen. I also wonder why it took them so long to agree that Benyomin was healthy when it was so quick for everyone else.
I forget to mention this in my last comment but now we know that at this period of time they used bombs and guns to make the explosions instead of fireworks so I think they might not have fireworks.
I wonder would the government pay for the trip to send the people with an X back to their hame country, or they have to pay it themselves. I don’t know what the doctors are looking in Benyomin’s eyes, I don’t think they think he is near-sighted, but some tiredness? I wonder why they give their family that much food, and how much it is.
