I liked the last chapter because Fill helped Peca and he told the boy that he was a immigrant to witch made him feel better about being one to. Also when Fill had to stay after school I thought that he was in trouble for laughing but it was to talk about how the boys made fun of his speech.

I think at the end Fivel realized that he lost sight of who he really was. I learned that you should never give up and keep on trying like when fivel checked everyday for the package.

I thought the book was rally good. though I enjoyed the beginning more then the end. I’m kind of upset because I really wanted Beryl to come to America. The ending also wasn’t my favorite. I like Fivel way more then I like Phil. Fivel was kind and generous. Phil is not so nice. I thought that it was nice that Fivel helped Pecka at the end. I think that a lesson from the book is to always be your true self. I think so because Fivel learns that he was better as Fivel then Phil. He was better at being his true self. Overall I thought this was an amazing story and I learned so much from it.

I hope the story could lag on to WWII and the reunifacation of their family and Beryl.

I think that would happen in the sequel if there is one, and I agree. It would be quite interesting

Fival really change he came to America started school and lots more. I am happy that Fival helped Pekka. That was really nice of Fival and Pekka probably was happy to. Every body in there house seems successful the kids are all going to school and they are all working. Fival really wants Beryl to come to America.

I really dislike Fivel’s character now. I think Beryl would be ashamed of Fivel. Maybe Fivel became a little bit nicer and better at the end of the story but I still dislike him. I noticed that my prediction came true. Beryl was the one to change Fivel a little bit at the end. I thought this book was a very good book and I think it has great educational value. My favorite characters were Fivel’s Pa and Beryl.

I Really enjoyed the last chapter because it made Phil realize who he really is. I also think that fivel/ Phil came a long way from back in the shetl. I think this because in the shetl they were hiding all the time and they were always running from people and they were really poor. When I think about it in the beginning when the man wanted to take Fivel I could tell that Ma wouldn’t let her fivel go because she knew that he would have a bright future.

I’m glad that Fivel finally figured out that he is not Phil. It’s best to just be yourself, name and all. I hope that Fivel’s siblings will realize that and also keep their real names. Ma was right all along! This book was very good, By that I mean tons of things like suspenseful, loving, and much, much, MUCH more!

Fivel/Phil is okay know I mean he was nice to Pecca but he still was kinda mean to him. I also have another thing to why did they change Hannah’s name that a perfectly fine name I mean tons of people are named Hannah now.

I think it would have been better if it showed his reaction to some stuff like the library and stuff.

I think the change of FIVEL isn’t enough. Because, due to my prediction, FIVEL is suppose to not only help Pekka but also respect the place where FIVEL came from, Poland. Because of that, FIVEL should tell the class every detail about his life in the shetel, instead of trying to cover it up or erase it from his mind. I am also grateful to Beryl because he helped the family not starve when they are in the shetel, and that he helped FIVEL make that bit of change FIVEL could make to become a better person. I also noticed Pekka is a really good person, he used his real name instead of changing it and did not bully other people. I think the book is really good but I hope it could add how FIVEL changed more and get alone with the family. I don’t know why the book doesn’t mention Benyomin and other sisters in the end. I reallt enjoy the front part, from the start of the story to when they arrived at America. The part after that isn’t so good to me. I think the book is a 4.5.

I got sad when Fivel said that he may have erased Beryl’s face, it would be so sad if you forgot the face of a loved one. I think that if Fivel’s siblings want to keep their names its up too them. This book was awesome, I loved reading/listening to it. It was dramatic, suspenseful and sometimes had cliff hangers. I’m sad to have this book end.

Fivel definitely has changed, over time, from being an immigrant to being like any other American kid. I think Fivel really is remembering who he is. I really really liked this book. If there is any sequel to this book, I’d definitely read this. I wonder what will happen to him during WWII

Yay! I am glad that Fivel remembers Beryl and thinks better of forgetting everything about the Shetyl. I am glad that Fivel is starting to be nice to Pecka. It was sad when Fivel almost forgot Beryl’s face. I wish that Bridge to America was longer. It was such a good book! I think that Fivel will see Beryl again someday. The ending was really good but I wanted to read what happened next.

I think in the previous chapters Fivel got ahead of himself and I think in this chapter he realized that is not who he really is. I knew deep down that he would realize this. I think that this story has a few very important messages for example, love yourself, treat people how you want to be treated, you don’t need to fit in/be yourself, and acceptance. All in all I think this story shows the true story of an immigrant and is a life lesson.

I thought that something bigger would happen at the end. But, it did end with Fivel/Phil doing something with a kind heart, like beryl. I also felt so sad when he started to forget beryl. I could tell he would eventually decide to be Fivel, though.
