Launch Reflection 2

I thought that we had done much better in launch 2 then launch 1 because in our first launch our height went 14.5 and in our second launch our height was 19.5. I thought a big part of that launch was that our rocket went higher because we fixed the nose cone and that helped it go straight up in the sky. The only problem in launch 2 is that it was cold and windy and in launch 1 it was warm and sunny so I think that we would have done a little better if we had better conditions on launch 2.

My favorite part of the trip was when. We used the sand and it looked like water was coming down and it was very colorful.

 

I learned that the biggest is not always the deepest. Also I did not know that some animals can live when they are not at the bottom of the water.

 

If I could add one more activity I would add walking around the lake a little more so that we can seee more of th

Our group has noticed that on our controlled plant has been growing seed pods and buds and lots of flowers it has been growing about a half a centimeter its green now only one leaf is a little droopy.

 

For our manipulated our group has noticed that it has shrunk and its really droopy and where the that are droopy you can feel it and its dry there is no pods no buds no flowers just leaves.

 

I think this happened because 5 drops of water is to much for the plant.

Our plant experiment

Our group is letter E who includes me devam and schuylar. What happens when we put more water in the soil. I think if our group puts 5 drops of water in the soil then it will grow taller because it needs hydration so it will have it and grow taller.  We have a control plant and a manipulated plant our control plant is just where we don’t put an experiment on.But for our manipulated we put more water and our group decided to put 5 drops of water.

 

For our group this week we saw our manipulated plant a little droopy and really tall its growing about an centimeter a day and it’s green.Our controlled is growing about a half a centimeter a day and its green and it’s not droopy.   

Maglev Day 2

For our maglev day 2 we used magnets to make our maglev train levitate. For the maglev train we used 6 strip magnets, 3 short strip magnets and 3 long strip magnets. Finally our maglev train levitated. It was good that I learned the properties of magnets because if I did not know that north and north repel then I  would have not be able to make the train levitate.

 

What failed for our group was that it was tipping over. Our solution to our problem was that on our first try we did not put the magnets closer to the edge. So then we tried putting our magnets closer to the edge and our maglev train levitated.

 

I learned from the EDP. Is that you can’t blame the magnets. Even though you think it’s the magnet that your train is not levitating it is really you that messed up. It was hard to be in a group because you have to let other people share their ideas so you can’t just have your idea and do it. The group has to decide which idea you want to use first.

A maglev train  is a train that is levitating with magnets repelling.They repel using like poles (such as north and north) It goes faster because it has no friction.My team decided to use strip magnets.We choose to repel north and north. We layed out the magnets using masking tape (garbage, rain or snow does not affect the repulsion.

 

What we worked for us on friday was the magnets because it was repelling but is was too high and we put the magnets the wrong way. What did not work for us was the magnets because the magnets were sticking together.

 

I think our group was great because we worked together.

Technology is some thing human made that solves a problem to some thing.

My object is a white board marker and a white board marker is technology because it is some thing human made.

My white board marker saves a problem of not cutting so many trees and able to erase without even a little dot on the white board.Also white board markers and white boards were invented so you can see your answer or your writing more clearly.
