“Come on dad I’m ready.” “You take so long to get ready.” “I’m ready” my dad says. “Finally.” I knew I was going to interview my dad when we had to do an interview. I was thinking of doing my grandpa also but I didn’t. We start our interview. It is going well. When we are done I look at the camera. The video already stopped. “How did it stop with no one touching it.” I watched the video. It only went up to 7 minutes and 18 seconds. I thought it would be longer. It turns out I didn’t have enough storage on my phone. I was so mad, My face was red. I started deleting a lot of things on my phone. Pictures and apps. I wanted to do it again but it was to late and I had to go to bed. I had to do the interview the next day during my site visit. For the first 7 tries we couldn’t get passed question number two because my dad didn’t like his answers. We finally did it! We were supposed to have 10 to 12 questions. I had 20. It was because there was so much to ask and I could annoy my dad. The other kids had interviews that weren’t with there relative so they couldn’t annoy them.
My final interview questions are:
- When you first started working at Ba-Tampte at age 13, did you know that you would be working at Ba-Tampte full time when you got older?

- What do you like most about working at Ba-Tampte? What do you like least?

- Have the recipes ever changed?
- What are the most important decisions that have helped with Ba-Tampte’s success over the years?
- Which U.S. regions and/or states sell the most Ba-Tampte pickles? Why do you think so?
- What is your best selling pickle in New York and why do you think so?
- Are Ba-Tampte pickles sold in other parts of NY beside Manhattan and the boroughs?

- Does where a cucumber was grown affect its taste?

- Do you hope that one of your children will take over Ba-Tampte? Why or why not?
- My main inquiry question is ” How does geography affect the success of Ba-Tampte?” Is there any other information that you think is important to consider in order to answer that question?
