“Oregon Forest Law requires us to replant the site within two years and it needs to meet “green-up” standards by six [years]. By state law we are required to leave two live trees standing and two downed trees per acre of clearcut harvest. We are also requried to protect small medium and large fish streams.”

I think it is a good think that the state requires the forest owners to replant their land. I also think it’s good that they protect the fish streams in the area. I think what they could do is keep a certain area of land without cutting it for a long time because every time they clear land they are cutting away animals homes so I think that they should keep just a portion of their land that they won’t cut down for the animals that way the animals have somewhere to live. I think this should either be done by the government by taking land and then setting aside like a national park or just by just creating a law that says for example for every 5  acres cut down 1 acre has to be left standing and can never be cut down. I think that this will come in the future because if we keep cutting down forests and then replanting them we are taking away animals homes and then they won’t have a home.
