The Wizard of Oz Epilogue

Are class recently read the book “The Wizard of Oz”. Are assignment was to write an epilogue for the ending of the book. This was my result.

I open my eyes with a gasp starring at a ceiling. I squirm realizing that I’m in a bed. I slid out of the bed, my feet hit the floor creating a thump. A women burst through the door. “Oh dear god, she’s finally awake”as she’s says with a gasp. My hands rub my eyes with confusion. A man comes straight behind the woman. Water fills both of there eyes. With a shaky voice I say ” whe-where am I” There eyes widen. “Who are you” at this point there mouths are dropped open. There facial expressions change…in a bad way. “I’m sorry did I do or say something” I say “you don’t remember us” the man says quietly”. I look down trying to think I wiggle my toes noticing that my silver slippers were missing! With a gasp I say “Oh dear, what happened to my silver slippers! The man and the woman look at each other both with confusion on there faces “what silver slippers” they both ask “there the only thing I can remember” I say trying to stay hopeful.

All of us tear the house apart looking for those slippers. The woman comes  up to me and says with a quick voice “is that all you can remember” “I’m pretty sure” I respond. “All I can really remember is finding them on a woman I crushed with a house” the woman and man look at me with confusion. We sit and think for a minute or two. “Oh” the man blurts out they must be outside. We don’t even hesitate when we rush out the front door. We look all around the border of the house but see nothing. Both the man and the women look awfully tired.  I tell them to go inside and take a rest, they both listen. Still with no shoes I scuff the floor with disappointment. I decide to go take a look at all the animals. I walk over there with my head down. I arrive at the pigs. I slowly bring my head up showing my face. I look at the pigs and scream “MY SILVER SLIPPERS.” One of the pigs was wearing them. I open the gate to get my shoes. I walk over to the front of my house and stand there trying to think of what to do. Everything rushes through my mind and finally it hits my “three clicks” I whisper to my self. I slowly click my heels together three times as I’m closing my eyes. I open “Aunt Em, Uncle Henry” I shout.
This assignment was definitely a little challenging but one of my favorite assignments because I got to think outside of the box and create whatever I want.
