Our EV3 Robotics: Putting the pieces together

Mr. Cadalzo and Mrs. Huang got their classes together to build their EV3 robotics kits. Students got together in groups, which included children from both classes and they took turns building parts of the robot. This was their first time getting together. Please use the Comment space below to share your ideas on what worked well with the new partnerships and how we can improve our teamwork.

  1. It was fun and we worked together and we got pretty far in the instructions. We had a few arguments about were the piece goes but everything went well at the end.

  2. I worked with Harper,Ian,and Bella. And we can all improve by not arguing and we can do that by taking turns, not being bossy, not sit bake and relax, don’t take everybody’s turn. but what was nice is for the most part we all shared, we all took turns, we weren’t bossy, (well some of us) and we all had fun! and that is how it went-Brooke O’Grady

  3. It went very doing all the cool robotic things with all my partners. We went though a tiny fight but after that it went well.

  4. It did not go well because the boys were not doing anything and they were letting the girls do everything.
next time i hope the boys will not sit back.

  5. the boys and us had an argument and they were playing with the pieces and did not listen .and the boys said that the girls were not anything .other than that it was good.

  6. My group is Emma,Iris,Shane, and Bodhi. We had a argument because the girls thought the boys were not doing anything and the boys thought the girls were not doing any thing. Other then that we had fun making making EV3 robots.

  7. it was good but emma was fooling around and righting down I want my mommy and laffing well we did everything and we were not doing it because emma was slowing us down.

  8. Harper thinks it as fun building the EV3 robots. he wishes that one piece was fitting properly. it might just be the way it goes

  9. Ian thinks it was quite hard because of the wires.
they were getting in the way. but he didn’t like the tire(something went wrong and said it is just decoration we will fix it next time)

  10. Heidi thinks it was hard but fun.we successfully finished. it wasn’t hard but we got into a few arguments. the hardest thing for me was the building.

  11. Alexander also thinks we should improve. there was a hard step but we got through it. i think we should practice our teamwork more. we had a couple of arguments but we got through them and finished.

  12. Ian thinks it is fun paying with the EV3 robot. Harper thinks it is fun to! but the reason Harper doesn’t like it is because Ian won’t stop playing with it and it dose not come with sensors.

  13. i think that building the EV3 robot was super fun. and when we finished we were super happy!!!!!!
    (we all had fun!)

  14. from:Alex
we are building the robot and it we are all working together and it is so,so,so fun and we are taking terns doing stuff!!

  15. Ian thinks a problem is the wire is touching the tire and the red piece is always moving.Every time he touches the marble the tire does not turn and one wire is long and the other wire is short.

  16. Rachel thinks it’s a lot of fun.
“I like putting all the little rainbow pieces.”
We had a few issues, but we got over it!

  17. i had one question. How dose it work? but now that i see it done now i know! Harper has a question but we already have the answer… Why can’t we build stuff on to the robot. he wants to do a more higher level robot he thinks this is to easy!

  18. Evelyn thinks it was very fun and challenging and it was really fun working with all my partners such as Nate, Rachel, Heidi, and Alexander. We went though a bit of arguments and fight but we got through it and the fight was about the pieces and the jobs.
