Capstone blog post #7

Overall capstone was an amazing experience I learned that anything I put my mind to I could do.

I could have made it better by making a slide.

I had a lot of fun doing this project it really got me to try my hardest.

This is my Final iMovie that my project was based on:

This project taught me a lot. It taught me to work my hardest.

When I heard that we had to make a TED talk or ignite, I was so angry. But now I realized that it isn’t that bad. For my presentation I made an iMovie and I have a whole TED talk planned out. I am excited but a little nervous. We have “only” been working on this project for 6 weeks. It has taken up a lot of time but I made it happen. We had to create a script and an iMovie or slideshow. That wasn’t the hard part for me, the hard part was taking all of those notes.

On blog post #7 I am going to be talking to you about how my final presentation which is tomorrow (June 20) and Tuesday (June 21). Wish me luck!!

This project was confusing and I made the best out of it so now I am becoming very successful.

My main inquiry question is,” How has Ulta beauty become successful as a retailer in makeup?” It was a very tough process answering this question from taking notes, articles, interview, site visit and even watching videos from their website.

Ulta beauty has become successful in many different ways for example, they have an amazing customer loyalty program, Ulta is a one stop shop and it is a socially responsible company.

Capstone Interview Blog Post #4

Earlier today (May 31) I had my interview with Laurel Lefebvre who is VP in investor relations. Laurel is responsible for all of the communication with the share holders. It was a very interesting experience because I learned a lot and got a bunch of good information. For example, my interview started out by me asking, “How long has the company been in business? I asked her about the customer loyalty program and the private label business. She ended the interview with the company’s plans and goals in the next few years.

I never knew that I could learn so much from this interview.
