Tech 6 Titanic Blog Post #1

On Tuesday we learned about the property’s of materials and how heat And cold can change them. First we learned about the Titanic, the Dee bridge, and challenger a space shuttle. We learned about how they all broke even thought they used very strong materials. Then we talked about the different forces they might encounter. Mr. Calvert talked about how different materials have different properties. Like Cement which is very strong but easy to pull apart. Then we watched a video that showed a rod of steel be pull apart with a machine. He showed us what was happening and how steel is very ductile. Which means it is hard to pull apart. Then we learned how heat and cold could change the property’s. When the Titanic was on the water some of the iron froze. So when the iceberg hit it the iron shattered and made a huge hole. Also the dee bridge collapsed because iron broke from the vibrations of the train. And the challenger space shuttle vaporized and failed. Part of the rocket froze and made it break. And killed all the passengers.

Wellness Log

When creating wellness log Each time I did an activity I would right is down and when doing Friday I knew what I was going to do that day. For the totals I went and hit equal sign b2 plus b3 plus b4 plus b5 when putting the cells I would click on them. For the average I put average and put the cells.  I think I could use this for weight lifting to see if I am making progress.

The sheet shows the amount of home runs team hit. Each row is a different year and each column is a diffrent team. The new Column I added shows how many more runs a team hit. If it’s blue that hows many more the Yankees got. And if it’s orange it’s how many more the Mets hit. The formula I did was C minus B whatever row it was.
