My Aunt

My aunt and me are like PB&J. She’s the peanut butter and I’m the jelly. When we’re together we’re like matching puzzle pieces. My aunt is a very meaningful person in my life because not everyone is nice like her, she brightens dark situations, and she is super generous .

The first reason my aunt is a very meaningful person in my life is, not everyone is nice like her. An example was when I was at the Palisades Mall with my aunt on a shopping spree. “Don’t forget to tell me when you want to eat,” my aunt reminded me. “ Okay,” I responded. I was not even close to hungry. I was having so much fun, and when I’m having this much fun I feel like I could live forever without food.  After a hour of zooming in and out of shops, I lost some stamina, and decided I couldn’t live forever without food. After lunch and ice cream. We had a whole load of bags. On the way back to my house I knew that not everyone is nice like her.

The second reason my aunt is a very meaningful person in my life is she brightens dark situations. For example one day I was playing a math board game called PrimeClimb with my aunt and my 6 year old brother, Tre. Tre was kicking and screaming because I had bumped him down, obviously because I am better at math than him. “ Tre, calm down,” my aunt said gently. Then she showed him how he could bump her back to the beginning. She’s like the sun during dark situations.

The last reason my aunt is a very meaningful person in my life is, she is super generous. An example is, she’s super generous to buy Marshall, Tre and me so many clothes. She’s super generous to buy fancy bread and pastries from the city for my family. She’s super generous to never come empty handed. Another example of my aunt being generous is when it was my first year selling Girl Scout cookies. She emailed her co-workers asking them if they wanted to buy any. I had never sold Girl Scout cookies before, but with my aunt’s help I sold 99 boxes.

My aunt is a very meaningful person in my life because not everyone is nice like her, she brightens dark situations, and she is super generous. I know that she will always be a special and meaningful person to me.

Your aunt sounds like a special person. Your writing is good, too. I love that you used everything you learned about in our essay writing unit!
