Friends

Do you and your friends have many things in common? Or are you both super different but are still friends? Well Emma and I have many things in common. We both like the same foods, we both go to the same tennis academy (and love tennis!), and we feel the same way about a lot of things.

The first reason Emma and I have many things in common is, we both like the same foods. One food in particular we both like is slushies. One example is when Emma and I made our very own slushie.  “I’ll get the ice and salt,” I told Emma, “And I’ll get the juice,” Emma said back. First we put the ice in a ziploc bag. Next we sprinkled salt on top. Then we added juice (in our case mango nectar). Finally we mixed and massaged the ingredients together until it looked and felt like a slushie. “ Yum!” we both said when we took a bite. It took a bit for the ice, salt, and juice to combine, but in the end it was worth it. The slushie we made was much healthier, and I thought it tasted much better than the one you get at the movies.

The second reason Emma and I have many things in common is we both go to the same tennis academy (and love tennis!). The tennis academy is called Tennis Innovators Academy. But Emma is in yellow ball and I’m in green ball, which is sad because then we can’t be in the same group. Another thing about the tennis academy that we both have in common is we both don’t like going there. But we will both still love tennis no matter what!

The last reason Emma and I have many things in common is we feel the same way about a lot of things. One example is when we were at Mei’s going away party. I arrived third. When I rang the doorbell,  I heard stomping footsteps and screaming. First I was a little bit scared, because I was not sure what was happening. When Nathalie opened the door I came in and started to have fun. It was not until Emma arrived that I realized why everyone was screaming. When Emma rang the doorbell everyone screamed, “ Yay!” or “ Get the door quickly it’s Emma!” While we were stampeding to the front door, all the grown-ups were laughing like crazy in the corner. For every person since Emma arrived I just stayed at the table with Emma wondering why everyone had to scream and stomp like that.

Emma and I have many things in common. We both like the same foods, we both go to the same tennis academy (and love tennis!), and we both feel the same way about a lot of things. Emma and I will always be great friends.
