On Wednesday, my class and I had a zoom meeting with Mrs. Elsen (SMS librarian). We talked about the library databases and resources.
For our Passion Project research, we will need to use credible resources. I know that all the library databases and resources are credible, as well as the links provided from them.
I have already found many good websites and videos apart from the library databases and resources, such as an article from The New York Times, and other articles and videos from the Scarsdale Historical Society. I think these resources will be the most helpful as well as some social studies resources from the library page.
I am trying to improve my note taking skills during this unit. This applies to videos and interviews as well because as you take notes during all of these scenarios.
I think it will be most helpful to use chronological and boxes and bullets as my note taking forms. I think this because my topic (the history of Scarsdale) is going to be put in a timeline as my final project so chronological note taking will be helpful. I chose boxes and bullets because it will organize my note taking since I have subtopics (Fox Meadow, Greenacres, Edgewood, Heathcote, and Quaker Ridge) .
I am very excited to start research on my topic!
You have a lot planed already. And its good to have a lot of databases that you can use. I can find that much information from the library page, i only found like two.
