I finished making all three of my switches. My favorite one that I made was the treasure chest one. Inside of it there are pom poms and some have like glitter sticking out of them. I think the concept is really cool. The other ones I made I didn’t like because i was in a rush to finish them. I am pretty happy that I got them all done in time.

Today I finished soldering the piece for my little sister. The piece is a heart with a J in it. My sisters name is JiaJia and I showed it to her, she said it was cool. Soldering was kind of scary because i knew that it was 800 degrees but i got over it. It was pretty cool to solder because the solder was pretty much metal glue.

Tech post #4

In week 4 i learned how to use 4 tools to bend wires. The 4 tools are chain nose plier, round nose plier, flush cutter, and looping plier. The chain nose plier keeps things in place. The round nose plier can bend things.

Learning how to use Vectornator was a struggle. There were so many tools and settings and it was just so confusing. I eventually got it and it turns out Vectornator is really cool. I also made a custom design and it turned out great. I made a dog tag for my dog Ranger. It did come out a bit to big but it will work!

I think learning about the periodic table is really cool and I learned a bunch of new things like how the periodic table is numbered by the number of protons that are added to the atom. Something I found fun was the game that we did. It really helped me understand the difference between a neutral and an ion atom.

Final Capstone Essay

When I was in 2nd grade my dad was really fascinated in artificial intelligence robots. One day when I was in my living room my dad put on a document of AI robots I started watching with him and I was really intrigued. I wanted to learn more about AI robot designs and how they make robots to look less scary and how that helps the robots. This lead me to deciding that my capstone project topic would be on AI robots. My main inquiry question is: how are artificial intelligence robots made so they don’t look threatening to humans and in what can that be helpful. I did a lot of research and it eventually lead me to the answer: AI robots are made with different materials to look more friendly this helps by making humans more willing to interact with AI robots and that helps them learn more about human behavior. Now that I had my answer I could start on my Ted Talk.

The first thing I had to do was make a script for the Ted Talk. I had to turn my notes into a script and make it so I wasn’t just listing information on my topic. Once I was happy with my script i started looking for images  It took a little while but I found the images I needed. When I finished finding pictures I started on my slideshow. I started putting the images on the slides, I also inserted m script in the speaker notes. After that I worked on memorizing my script it was pretty hard because it was long but I finally got it down.

That is the process of making my capstone presentation and the answer to my main inquiry question. I was really happy with my final result but if I had to change one thing it would be to add more information to my script.
