In class we learned how to make solder people, solder is a type of flexible metal that is made out of tin or lead. Solder can be turned into glue when using the proper machine, the soldering iron. The soldering iron can get as hot as 800 degrees! When using the soldering iron you touch the tip to where you want to solder for 10 seconds, then you slowly bring the solder to where the soldering iron is. The metal will melt into glue and leaving lots of steam! When using the soldering iron it’s critical to put on safety goggles so the steam does not into your eyes!
