Writer’s you are all so close to publishing! Today you will take the time to review what you have written (and typed in a doc in your writing folder). Revision is about making changes to your story to make it better and Editing is about spelling and the mechanics of writing. It is helpful to have a partner or two to work with at this point to ask for their feedback and get their help with spelling & punctuation.
Remember to have 1 cover uploaded to your padlet and write across all of the columns, not just one column. Also, it is important not to report but to think deeply about your book. If one person reports something (for example character names) , then you should add to the post your thoughts and text evidence to support your thinking about those characters. Please email me when you need a new padlet for your group.
Everyone in the group should not repeat the setting/problem/solution:
Think about why the author chose the setting/problem/solution?
How did these elements affect your characters?
Why are these elements important?
Add on to your partners posts and either agree or disagree, but provide more text evidence in your thinking. Your posts should reflect 15-20 minutes of thinking to receive excellent participation credit.
