Yay! Welcome to the last day of 3rd grade! While I’m sure many of you are feeling the same way as I am, a little sad but excited for summer and the next adventure, we can not let the day go by without reflecting on what made this year great- YOU!
3M Digital Yearbooks
Today I want you guys to sign each other’s digital yearbooks. These yearbook slides are located in the “Shared with Me” folder in your Drive. Look for the folder called, “3M 2020 Yearbook.”
3rd Grade Summer Book Recommendations
You all created such amazing book trailer recommendations. Need a new book to read?
I know many of you want to keep reading, writing, problem solving and coding over the summer break. Not sure where to access materials or websites? Please take a look at the resources I have collected for you and your families this summer.
What a year this was! Recording your thoughts, interests and ideas about a time period is always a great way to reflect and grow. Plus, it’s really fun to look back at it when you get older. 🙂
Check out this activity where you can jot down your ideas all about third grade. You can print it out to write, or edit with Kami (rotate to get it right side up) and print to save.
Happy Thursday! Today we celebrate AP’s summer birthday and get to see his special items.

Please note we will not zoom on Wednesday. You will have a virtual Field Day! The district will email your families with activities available for that day.
Please email me when you need a new Padlet for your group.
Please complete every column, if possible. Your posts should reflect at least 10 minutes of thinking to receive excellent participation credit. Everyone in the group should not repeat the setting/problem/solution, but after one person has written a correct answer, add on to your partners’ posts and either agree or disagree, but provide more text evidence in your thinking.
Writing: Revising & Editing
Writers you are all so close to publishing! Today you will take the time to review what you have written (and typed in a doc in your writing folder or digital notebook). Revision is about making changes to your story to make it better and Editing is about spelling and the mechanics of writing. It is helpful to have a partner or two to work with at this point to ask for their feedback and get their help with spelling & punctuation.
In this lesson you will learn about angles and how to name specific types of angles. You will be asked to frequently pause the video and practice the skill. Then you will click un-pause to see if your answer or solution matches Mrs. Luciano’s.

Smart Fact
On this day in 1967 EMI Records released “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” a few days early in the United Kingdom; it would go to number one for 15 weeks in the US and 22 weeks in the UK. Smart Fact
On this day in 1904 Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was formed in Paris. The National Soccer Hall of Fame is located in Texas and houses all that is related to soccer here in the United States only. Sadly there is no International Hall of Fame, but if there was Pele would take center stage. He is one of the greatest players of all time. He once said, “I was born for soccer, just as Beethoven was born for music.” Did you know his real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento? You can learn more about this football genius by watching the film, Pele, Birth of a Legend.
