Book Recommendation

The book that I have to recommend to you is called Clementine and The Family Meeting by Sara Penny Packer, Illustrated by Marla Frazee. This book is a fiction book.

What would you do if you think you are getting in trouble?

I love this book because it has a little mystery, but it is all solved at the end and Clementine did not have to be nervous the whole day. Clementine gets in trouble a lot but she doesn’t mean to get in trouble. I think Clementine is funny because she gets herself into unusual situations but she finds her way out.

Lima beans 3rd week

Lima Beans Week Three

This week our Lima Beans have been growing very fast. The three with sunlight the roots are so thick that is a good thing. The three with no sunlight the roots are very white that is not good. The one with no air one of the Lima Bean is mushy and just not growing. I think they are doing pretty good.

Did you know that a plant can grow without  soil? But with soil Lima Beans will grow stronger and Healthier.

week 3 plant observation

My friends and I grew two plants. One plant was watered with water and the other water was watered with orange juice.   One of them is doing good but the other is very bad, it got moldy so we threw it out.  That was the one that was getting watered with orange juice.  The one that is good has pods because we pollinated it using q tips which bees and other insects would have done out in nature.

Plant Reflection

I just started the plant unit with my group. I love watching my plants every single day. The one that is getting watered with orange juice is moldy, smells bad and is not growing. The one that is being watered with water is growing so much. It is about 3 centimeters tall and it has green leaves. That is a big plant for only growing for one week.

Poem Reflection and Poems

I finished my poetry unit, and I loved writing a lot of poems.  My favorite two were Flip Flop and S’mores. Flip Flop was my favorite because it had repeating words and it had a nice rhythm. My second favorite was S’mores because I wrote about each layer of the S’more and it turned out to be really cute.

State test

Last week we finished the state test.  I did not like the state test because it was for three days straight.  I was nervous the night before each day of the test.  My biggest fear was that I would get every thing wrong.   I found the test to be ok at the end.  Some parts of the test were hard and some parts were easy.  I was so happy when it was over.

“One Plastic Bag” by Miranda Paul  is mainly about that plastic bags are bad for the environment.  A goat can eat a plastic bag and die because the goat doesn’t know the plastic bag is not food.  So Isatou cleans up all the plastic bags from off the ground and she washes them and makes them into money bags that have pretty designs on them. Isatou cleaned up the plastic bags because she wanted to help the goats so they don’t die.  Isatou didn’t know littering plastic bags was bad for the environment. I think Isatou did something really good to help the goats.

The sisters of Bali were working hard to ban plastic bags in Bali and they achieved what they set out to do.  First they went to a lot of places and talked to a lot of people about banning plastic bags. They talked to kids and made a petition. They talked to the president of Bali and he agreed to stop using plastic bags. The sisters were so excited that their hard work paid off. I am glad that the sisters were able to make Bali beautiful again!

My moon

We just finished learning about the moon in science.  I loved looking outside everyday at my moon.  Looked forward to it for 28 days.  For 28 days I felt that the moon was excited to see me too!

It was interesting to see the different moon phases! And the different weather patterns.  Some of the days it was cloudy and I missed seeing the moon.  I love the full moon best because even the sky around the moon was bright.  My favorite fact is that a full moon is really only a half moon because there is still another side to see.

On Wednesday, April 5th, I am going to see the moon through a very good telescope.  I am excited to see the craters on the moon.  I hope they are excited to see me too!
