Life does not need to be perfect to be beautiful

Week 6 in tech

Si this week for a blog post we don’t need to do much we just have to right about what we did this week. This week was fun, I watched some k drams ( Korean drama ) and of course loved it. I FaceTimed o bunch of my friends and I also obviously had to do some homework. E-learning can be very overwhelming. For some reason I feel like with E-learning there is a lot more work that has to be done. I don’t know if it’s just me though lol. Anyways there was also wellness week, I learned how to make bread and tomatoes. I learn how to make soda bread, I learned his right make calming jars and how to peacefully draw and much more. And I think that’s all! 🙂

Week 5/making a mask

This week for blog post I had to make something out of items I had at home. I also knew that I wanted to make something easy and useful so I made a mask. Since  coronavirus is going around right now I thought this was a good idea. I don’t know if the mask I made will do much but I tried and it worked out. First I took a shirt and cut the bottom of. I drew a little diagram to show what to do at the bottom if you don’t know what I mean by that. After that what you want to do is cut a rectangle on this side ( MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE DIAGRAM AT THE END ) sorry this might be confusing because I’m really bad at explaining things. Anyway after you do that you have to cut the two long pieces in half. ( again look at the diagrams at the bottom hehe ) and after that you are done!

Week 4 in tech :)

A few days ago I finished cutting all of my wood. I can’t wait until I get to put my box together because it will be so little. My box is a lot smaller than other peoples. Today I got to use the belt sander. I had to put on a mask. At first I was scared  that I would hurt myself because the same paper was moving so fast, but after I while I got the hang of it. I found it really cool how right after the wood was so smooth, I was admiring ( teehee ) how smooth the surface was and ended up getting a splinter ( whoops ) its ok it wasn’t that’s bad. By the end of the class I finished sanding all of my pieces! 🙂

Wood exploration activity!

A few days ago we did a wood exploration activity where we took a peice of wood and had different sizes of nails. There were flat tops and sharp tops. I think this activity was on the easier side if you used the Vises because it helped hold the wood in place and it was very sturdy. I found the sharper toped nails were easier to put in the wood becasue they would actually go into the wood and the flat tops I could even get into the wood. It was also pretty easy to take out the nails. I thought this was a really cool and fun earning activity and I definitely want to do more like this.

My best friend Allison is also making a flashlight inspired my fruit. Her flashlight was soooooooooo good!!!!!!!

Watermelon flashlight 🍉

I made watermelon inspired flashlight. First you would have diagram what what our flashlight would look like. After we got our diagram approved we had to measure how long the wires were on our graph and cut our wires. Next we had to solder the wires, switch, battery holder, and LED light together. Then we had to saw the pipes that had a smaller width so you could connect the tube and the caps. After we taped the wires to the inside of the pipe so it wouldn’t move around. Finally we decorated it!!!! As you can see mine looks like a watermelon!!!!  🍉
