My fatal flaw

At school our intern, Ryan, is reading us a book called “The Thief of Always”. In the “Thief of always” all the main characters have fatal flaws in the book. One example is peer pressure. So, our intern asked us to right this post about what we think are flaws are. I think that one of my fatal flaws are procrastination. I always want to do something later. Usually I practice piano and I never put my pieces back on the shelf. So, later my mom yells at me and lectures me to always put my pieces back and then the next day I leave it on the piano again and then I get grounded. I think that being more responsible and being organized will help me.

Capstone post #2

(If you see my other post you will see the other troubles I found while trying to find a topic) I was at school and I thought about what my main research question would be. I was browsing there website and I thought that maybe I could make my main research question that if we need the United Nations today. At our school you need to make interview questions and sub questions. You need to interview someone with 20 questions. Also, you have to schedule a site visit where you need to visit somewhere that relates to your topic. The point of the capstone is to learn something new and to research your mind out so you can reach your main question (your goal).

For our capstone you need to make 5 sub questions minimum. These sub questions are smaller questions that lead to answering your main questions. For example why doesn’t the UN get involved in war? As I said answering sub questions is easier to answer your main question?

For our class you need to make 20 interview questions and obviously interview someone. It might take a lot of time to find an interview if you don’t know anyone. Also, you need to find a site visit where you need to go somewhere that relates to your topic. So, if your topic is disney then you can go to a museum about disney. I’m doing the UN so you I can go to the headquarters.

Capstone post #1

My capstone project wasn’t the best for me. On the first day I saw a couple of my classmates already knowing what there topic is going to be but I was just sitting in my seat with my head down not knowing what to do or what topic to choose. At that time I had a major brain fart.

That day I came home and begged my mom to help me with my capstone project and for her to think of a topic for me. Then she said “how about the UN?” Ok, is it just me or did she say “UPS”. Then I heard my mom say “Hello, are you alive” and then I jerked up. Then she said again “Are you going to study on the UN” and I said “what’s that” And my mom said “look it up”.

The next day at school my curiosity about the UN made me look it up on the internet. I was browsing along there website and I was really interested in the fact about if we need the UN today or how the is it more successful then the League of Nations.

One challenge I had on the way is definitely the idea of trying to find a topic for my capstone. One success that I had is being able to find great resources on databases
