Rube Goldberg 6

My group finished all of our work in presented it to the class today. My group and I  are really proud of all the work we’ve done. I have learned some much and had so much fun doing this project. I have learned to work well with group mates and learned not to get frustrated and I have learned you have to be patient when something isn’t working. Another thing I learned is that you can always make things better and improve them. This relates to my group because we could not use one of our steps, and even if we didn’t change the step our machine would still not be as good, and it would not have worked because the step was not made for what we were trying to do. Here is my groups video:

Rube Goldberg 5

My group had a meeting on Friday 3/1/19. During that meeting we made our final video. To make that video we used wevideo because that was a site all of knew how to use. Today we just had to add music and edit some points so we did the rest over FaceTime it was a good call. We finished our video. We added images of our sketches and music. In our video we included an overview of our machine, three fails, our success, slo-mo of our success and 1st and final sketches.

Rube Goldberg 4

Yesterday my group and I had another meeting. It was probably our best meeting yet. After 44 fails we finally did it. Our goal was to hit the buzzer in the goal, but originally it was to just to get a ball in a goal. Our group had a problem with one of our steps so we completely changed our machine. That was the best change we made. Each step did not work at least once. the most annoying step was the dominoes because every time they got knocked down we had to put them back up. The most frustrating fail was when the golf went less than an inch away. Making and testing our machine was fun.

Rube Goldberg 3

My group and I just had another meeting on Monday 2/25/19. We had a problem with one of our steps so we had to change most of our machine. The change was good because I feel that we are using the different materials better. My group is going to meet today. Today we will be fixing one step of our Rube Goldberg and trying it. Our newest revision has similar steps from the first one but are in different places and order. We had also changed our sketch and made it a little bit neater. This is our materials list:

Rube Goldberg-2

Me and my group had another meeting today, it was good my group added another four steps and finished our sketch. My group has also built our machine and tested a bunch of times. We had not gotten past our 5th step yet and we made some adjustments in between the 3rd and 4th step but they didn’t help. What we did to adjust it was to change the angle of something. We realized that we were getting father when it was the first way we had it. My groups is going to have to change a step and clean up our sketch a little bit, but for changing the step my group has some idea’s about what we are going to change it to. We are going to confirm the ideas at our next meeting Here is a picture of our sketch now:

Rube Goldberg Project-1

Our newest assignment was to make a Rube Goldberg. A Rube Goldberg is a machine with a lot of steps that uses a chain reaction that does a simple task. I am in a group with 3 of my friends. our simple task was to get a ball into a goal. We are almost done in our sketch my group and I are meeting today to finish. We have 6 steps we are going to add 3 more. Our Rube Goldberg is going to have multiple steps and levels. Here is a picture of our sketch so far:
