Technology #7

We learned that atoms are teeny tiny things you cannot see, so we use electroscopes to see atoms. Atoms have a nucleus. The nucleus is made up of positively-charged protons and neutrons, which have no charge at all. Atoms also have negatively-charged electrons, which are not in the nucleus, but in shells that are around the nucleus. The first shell can hold two electrons. The second shell holds eight. The third shell holds sixteen, and so on.
