In a Rube Goldberg you have to have some steps. Our assignment was to have at least 8 steps. But William and I are making one that is 12 steps long. We haven’t made all of the steps yet but we have made a few. One of the steps that we have made is where a little robot called an Ozo Bot follows a line once a domino is pulled away and hits a domino. Another step is where a pool ball rolled down half of a maze made by Lincoln logs and that pool ball hits another one which finishes the maze. These are two steps that we have tried out and they worked.
One of the things we have to do for our Rube Goldberg project is a sketch. We wrote down our ideas and a picture of what we want our Rube Goldberg to look like. This was the first thing William and I did together, on our first sketch we decided to start with dominoes because we thought that that is a good start for a Rube Goldberg. We watched a few videos and put some of their steps into our sketch but some were just steps that we thought would work. The next time we met we decided. to add some more steps. We added a few more steps to the begging and one more to the end. Then we were done with our first sketch.
We then got another piece of paper and started wring another, neater one. We finally finished our sketch in Jiminy Peak when we went to where he was staying. After that we labeled the materials and the steps. I was so glad that we were able to finish our sketch in time, I didn’t think that we would.
The day William and I had our first meeting was Thursday, January 4 2018. At first we just decided to jot some things down on the paper. He brought a few materials like a little robot called an Ozo bot and a slinky. I thought the Ozo bot was pretty cool but I couldn’t figure out how we would use the slinky so we decided to put the Ozo bot in our sketch but kept out the slinky. We then filled in our other steps. We weren’t sure if we were going to use that exact sketch. Next, we tried to decide what the goal would be at first we thought of turning off the lights but, we needed a long brick to hit the light switch, but neither of us had one long enough. We thought about it for about the next 2 minuets when finally we came up with one we decided to have a water bottle on a shelf on the wall and it comes down though a pegboard and lands on a block. We plan to have someone sitting in a chair/bed and the goal will be to get the bottle to that person.
Today we had a rocketry presentations. I was part of the team presenting the Rocketry Overview and my group, the Rocket Crushers, was presenting, too. Our unit started in September and went to the end of November. Before the Overview I was really nervous looking at how many people were there in the Computer Lab. I went up and was glad I wasn’t going first because I didn’t want to feel so much pressure. Once it was my turn I almost forgot what to say. But then I remembered to just feel natural.
After the other two groups went I knew not to feel nervous because eight of my other friends had already went. Then it was my group’s turn. We went up there and everybody was looking at each other waiting for someone to say something. After a few seconds I took a deep breath and we all started. After a few slides I realized that we weren’t going to do so badly. By this point I wasn’t so nervous anymore. By the end of the slideshow I was so relived that our group didn’t mess up and we did well.
I did my passion project on Short Films. It was a little hard to research because what I found was mostly short films that people created. But I found a few websites on how to make a short film, so I used those. The do part was a little easier because I got some editing program suggestions from the websites. I also created a flip book. When it was time for the final project I was a little nervous but I knew I could do it. I decided to use a program called animaker to make my short film. I decided to use animaker because I was just a beginner at making short films so I wanted it to be an easy website and I didn’t want it to take too long to make the film. Animaker is really easy and films don’t take too long to make on animaker so I decided to use it. At first I was thinking about making a sports film but then I had another idea to make a fiction everyday film. I told my partner Raymond my ideas and we agreed on making a fiction everyday film. At the start we had two problems not enough characters and we didn’t know how to make the characters speak. But then with Mr. Cassal and our parents help we figured out the problems and now it is much easier. Overall I am happy that I chose short films and animaker because it is fun creating films and playing around on animaker.
I did a unit on ecosystems and I picked to study oceans I did a lot of research on oceans I researched on the internet and in books. Then I put together a video on the threats and solutions to the threats.
I think that Dan guard has a fake ID too and he was the one that murdered R.J. Weathers. I think this because he was mad when Maria was talking to him and he probably tried to steal the camera because he didn’t want everyone to see the evidence that he murdered R.J. I also think this because Famosa has a fake ID and Don is traveling with Famosa. A final reason I think that Don guard has a fake ID and murdered R.J. Weathers is because he is trying to be innocent and he was the one talking on the phone about Famosa. I think Don is really Blaze.
Hello. Today I will be teaching you about March Madness. March Madness is once every year. It is like the playoffs for college basketball. The Top 64 teams make it. That is not a lot compared to how many teams there are in all of college basketball. There are 6 rounds is March madness: Round 1, Round 2, Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and finally the finals. This year the final 4 was: Gonzaga, North Carolina, South Carolina and Oregon. In the finals it was Gonzaga vs North Carolina and North Carolina won. March Madness is a good time to compete with your friends to have the best bracket.
I hope you learned about march madness. Here is a video recap of the finals.
Hello readers. Today I will be teaching you how to throw and hit a baseball. I recommend these tips for people who are just starting baseball or just want to get a little better at the sport.
When you throw you should First Pick the knee that is closer to your target off of the ground and let your ankle swing around. Then you extend your foot out to the side that you are facing and almost touch the ground with your toe. (You should have your glove elbow facing your target). Next you stick your foot out to your target and put your foot down. Finally you extend your body forward and throw the ball.
When you are hitting a ball First you should load by sticking your arm at the catcher and bending your knees a little. Then stride about one little step forward. Next you should turn your hips while your hands are still close to your body. Finally when the pitch comes to the plate you extend the bat to the ball and keep turning your hips until you hit the ball.
That is what I think is the best way to throw and hit a baseball. if you have any questions type them in the comment section below.
A few weeks ago I went skiing in Dear Vally with my dad. It was about 2:00pm in Dear Vally, I was on a cat walk trail witch is where there is a flat trail with little obstacles on the side. Me and my dad were going up a trail on the side of the cat walk we did a few bumps and then My dad came out of the side trail I kept on going. My dad skied about 10 more yards and then waited for me. It took me a few more minutes to find another opening. When I was close to an opening my dad said, “WATCH OUT!” But I heard “COME!” So I came I went off a jump to get back into the cat walk, but before I could turn into the trail… CRASH! I had collided into another person. I flew into the air and then fell to the ground. Are you guts ok I heard my dad and another guy say. “I’m fine.” I said. I was dizzy for a moment but I didn’t think I broke anything. The other guy broke his glasses and my skies fell off. We sat there and talked for a minuet and then we got up and started skiing again. I was so happy that I didn’t get majorly hurt.
