EdCamp Experience #2

I loved this EdCamp experience again! I learned a lot of great things about baseball and climate change!

In this EdCamp when Mr. Lamberg was presenting on baseball, he taught us a lesson. And that lesson was that if you want to achieve something, then you should make a game out of it, and once you have made the game, you should set a goal for it that’s maybe a little harder than what you think you’re capable of. So, by making games out of things and setting goals for yourself out of those games and then achieving the goal, you will achieve the thing that you really want.

Mr. Trindade taught us a lot about climate change today. What he really wanted us to know though, is that we should really help to stop global warming. Even if it isn’t true, we still don’t want our planet’s climate to change. So we should try and stop that. He taught us ways to help with this, and I really learned from it. I was really inspired to help. Here are three things that you can do to help, reduce water waste, actually eat the food you buy – and less of it meat, and power your home with renewable energy. You don’t HAVE to do them, but if you really want to keep our planet in good shape, then you should do it. And trust me, you’ll be thankful that you have.

I hope you take to mind what you learned just now and I hope you try to help too!

EdCamp Experience #1

This EdCamp experience was great! I really liked the two topics I learned about, which were Orthopedic Surgery and Duties of a District Attorney. I learned a lot of cool things from this experience. I especially enjoyed the part in the orthopedic surgery presentation where the presenter asked for a volunteer and demonstrated how you would make a cast, put it on and take it off. She did exactly what she would do with a patient who was in need for that. Another part I enjoyed was in the Duties of a District Attorney presentation, when the presenter told us that once she had a case about someone being accused of choking a llama! I thought that was really funny. The presenter for this topic also told us about another case she had that I thought was funny. That case was about a woman being arrested for stealing someone’s pocketbook in McDonald’s. Well, the funny part is that she was chased all the way to Burger King and was arrested there. And guess what her last name was? Burger! Those are three things I enjoyed in this experience. I really hope I will learn more about these topics.
