Did you know that in my class we worked on a maglev transportation system? Well, our whole class was split into groups of three. In each group all 3 kids would work together to create a good plan. With this plan we would try to make a piece of foam levitate. On the piece of foam was going to be a cup and in that cup each group was going to put marbles. I think my group did really well. I think this because our maglev train was able to hold 42 marbles and it probably could have held a few more marbles. But we stopped it because it started to get a little heavy. We improved are maglev system by putting the ring and disc magnets under the strip magnets and put one big strip magnet on the left and right. After that we put a magnet on each corner of the foam and then we put a little amount of tape. So when we tested to see how many marbles it could hold it levitated very high. I think this plan worked because we made the vehicle (foam) lighter so it was able to levitate higher. I didn’t really like to work with partners because I think it would of been better because you can use your intelligence to help yourself build a maglev transportation system yourself. Also you can learn more by building it yourself because you wouldn’t have people helping you so you can keep testing and learn how to use magnets correctly.
In third grade you’re going to do a lot of math it’s also the same thing as every other grade. Math is very important because of numbers you’re going to have to add numbers multiply numbers subtract numbers for taxes, Bills and your also going to have to do this for more things to. Some of the basic things to know in math is.
1+1=2 9+9=18 4+4=8 5+5=10 2+2=4 Some more harder ones are 67+79=146 1655+2355=4010 122+39=162 856+3269=4125 9656-2339=7317
So let me tell you a story. So one day my teacher Mr.s Badurski said class come to rug today we are going to learn bar models I started to feel a little nervous but on the other hand I was a little excited I was thinking what if i’m horrible at bar models. But when my teacher started to explain it i was thinking it was a little confusing but as she kept on showing us it kept on getting easier and easier. I felt like it was going to be easy . It also shows that you should never give up keep on going until you get to your goal or until you could understand how to do something. So never give up.
I’m thankful for my family and what they do for me. I am grateful for my family because they play with me cook for me, and take me to places I want to go. The first reason I’m grateful for my family is that they play with me. For example, my dad plays basketball with my in my driveway when I get home from school. The second reason I’m grateful for my family is that they cook for me. For example, my grandma cooks me french fries, burgers and steaks and other foods I love. The third reason I am thankful for my family is they take me places I want to go. For example, this summer we went to Disney World for vacation. It was amazing! I am grateful for my family because I know I wouldn’t enjoy life without them.
Writing is one of my favorite subjects When we were writing for the first time in third grade I was so excited, I was also thinking to myself “What we were going to do?” I was hoping it was going to be something fabulous.
There’s is also a lot to writing such as dialog, emotion and more. Also when you’re writing you’re not supposed to just say he was angry, you’re supposed to show he’s angry and show why and how he’s angry. You have to show different emotion as in he’s sad, mad, angry, happy. You also have to explain the story. You’re not going to just say he went to restaurant, he ate food, he liked it and he left.
You’re supposed to say he went to a restaurant called Top House it was amazing they had the best food I ordered pizza, the cheese was all warm, the sauce was dripping. They had the best desserts, I ordered a brownie. It was giant! At the end they gave me a balloon! You also have to write capitals and punctuation when you need them.
