Recently there has been a Coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China. Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province. In 2002 there was a virus similar to this one called the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, SARS for short. This disease killed 800 people. In addition, humans got this virus from Palm Civets and bats. Furthermore, on January 23rd the Wuhan Institute of Virology tested someone who currently has the Coronavirus. They found a 96% genetic match with a bat Coronavirus. Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, said “Probably bats are the origin from looking at the virus itself, and it got from bats into people in the wildlife market,” he said. “This is absolutely déjà vu all over again from SARS.” Therefore, the current Coronavirus is very likely to be like the SARS disease and it will have similar effects.
Currently, the Coronavirus that started in Wuhan has infected 2,700 people and killed at least 80 people. Since this virus spreads so quickly, no one can come in or come out of Wuhan. This shows that the Chinese government is trying to keep this disease contained. They believe that the wild meat came from the Wuhan Huanan Seafood Wholesale market. This market is known for selling a big range of different meats. People are advised to avoid eating wild meat during the outbreak. In conclusion, the people of Wuhan and China are working really hard to solve this virus and they are learning more about it every day.
Hey guys. Last week I went to my friend Natasha had a sleep over party. First we went to an escape room. We were so close but we didn’t escape. It was murder theme and it was scary. After we tried to escape the room we went out for dinner at Bella Blue. Then we watched a movie called Step Sisters. After the movie was done all the guests were so tired so we went to bed.
Hey guys I’m back! when I was in London I went to see Hamilton. It was amazing, in case you didn’t know I am a fan of Broadway shows. I always end up getting the songs stuck in my head. I saw it with my grand parents. I am glad that my dad downloaded the song on my i-pod so I can listen to them when ever I want.
Hi, I’m back. How was your winter break? I went to London! One thing that you need to know is that I bring a Journal everywhere I go and I write it at the end of everyday then do a little sketch at the bottom. I saw Madame Tussauds witch is a wax museum. The statues were so realistic. The use so many pictures and measurements. I also saw Hamilton. It was really good. Harry Potter world was amazing! I saw the grade hall, Privet drive, the model for Hogwarts, special affects, and so much more. If you have any questions make sure to comment.
Hi guys. A few weeks ago I went to a Broadway show called Kinky Boots. It was amazing! I can’t get the songs out of my head. I highly recommend this musical. My grand parents were here and they were really mad at us for playing it so much. I stopped because I didn’t wan’t to lose my T-V time. In the theater the sealing was very nice. It had a lot of really nice designs. I was relived to know that I wasn’t going to be sitting under the Chandelier.
